MANAMA: Solidarity Bahrain, one of the largest insurance companies in Bahrain and a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding, has launched a video medical advice service to assure the safety of its members.

The launch is in line with its ongoing commitment and responsibility towards the community in combating the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, Solidarity Bahrain said yesterday.

The service, “See a Doctor”, is a new technology-backed service that provides its members with remote video access to interact with doctors and medical representatives to obtain a free-of-charge outpatient medical assessment through a video call.

It is provided by Health at Hand – a DHA-licensed telehealth service provider with qualified doctors who speak Arabic, English and Hindi.

Solidarity Bahrain medical and life head Rashid Turk said: “As part of our continuous efforts in assuring the safety of our members and promoting social distancing, we take immense pride in introducing the video medical advice service, by offering them an online clinical opinion from the comfort of their home”.

“This has been possible based on the strategic partnership with NEXtCARE, who are the leading third party administrator in the GCC and MEA region, and launched with the growing demand to have more technology-led solutions, while keeping the customer’s health and safety our core focus during the current situation,” he added.

Solidarity Bahrain members can access the service through a quick registration on the MyNEXtCARE app or its web version, and connect to a trusted licensed doctor.
