Egypt - The Cabinet approved establishing an artificial intelligence (AI) division in Tanta University, according to a June 17th statement.
The new faculty aims at supporting the advanced education sector which relies on AI technologies, in addition to decreasing the number of students who travel to study abroad.
Tanta University, which is located in Gharbia Governorate, includes 15 faculties under four main divisions.
On June 14th, the government announced that Artificial Intelligence Minds (AIM), Egypt’s first incubator specialized in AI, started to receive applications.
