Dubai-based Pearl Polyurethane Systems has commissioned a new facility in Jeddah to produce polyurethane formulations and high-performance polyurethane foams.

The new facility is part of the company’s growth plan, which is set to double its size over the coming five-year period, it said in a press statement.

The project cost wasn’t disclosed.

Polyurethane formulations and high-performance polyurethane foams are used in building insulation products, manufacturing processes, etc.

“The new Jeddah facility, coupled with investment and growth in our other offices and facilities across the MENA region, will enable Pearl to maintain world-class service delivery standards and respond to evolving customer demands across several product areas,” said CEO Martin Kruczinna.

Since 1989, the company has supplied polyurethane insulation foam systems for several projects in the Gulf, including Palm Jumeirah, Downtown Dubai, Ski Dubai, Noon’s fulfilment centre in Saudi Arabia and Bustanica, the world’s largest vertical farm for Emirates Airlines flight catering in Dubai.
