The governor’s office in Oman’s Al Dakhiliyah governorate in Nizwa is expected to award the design and supervision consultancy contract for a $40 million commercial area development project in four different places by the second quarter of 2023, according to a source close to the project.
“The tender for the design and supervision consultancy contract was issued on 12 December 2022 and the bid submission is scheduled on 17 January 2023. The contract is expected to be awarded by early April 2023,” the source told Zawya Projects.
The scope of work involves the development of commercial facilities in Wilayat BidBid, Wilayat Nizwa, Wilayat Manah and Wilayat Bahla.
The project is slated for completion by the first quarter of 2025, the source said, adding that his estimate of the project cost is $40 million.
