DAMAC Properties announced on Monday that it has awarded the main construction contract worth 886 million UAE dirhams ($241.22 million) for its 71-storey Cavalli Tower in Dubai Marina to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).

The contract was awarded following a rigorous selection process, the Dubai-based developer said in a statement, adding construction works are steadily progressing on the tower.

Cavalli Tower has a development value of nearly AED 2 billion and comprises 436 units divided into three sections.

The enabling works for Cavalli Tower were completed by the National Piling Corporation, with the piling and excavation works finished in December 2022.

China State Construction Engineering has previously worked as a primary contractor for DAMAC Aykon City on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Cavalli Tower features interior designs by Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli, while the project's architect is Shaun Killa, the statement stated.

In November 2022, DAMAC had awarded main contract worth over AED 273 million ($74 million) to the China Nuclear Industry 22nd Construction Company for the Nice residential cluster at its DAMAC Lagoons master project in Dubailand.
