New DVD Handycam DCR-DVD 908 Shoots up to 6.1 Mega Pixel Still Images & Boosts Shooting Times With Dual-Layer Recording and Longer Battery Life
Dubai - Whether it's a special event or simply capturing the spontaneous moments with family and friends which make everyday life unique, the exceptional features of Sony's new DVD Handycam, the DCR-DVD908 allows users to capture still images with up to 6.1 Mega Pixel resolution, offers additional stamina, a powerful zoom and with the addition of the DVD+R DL (Dual Layer) recording, this new model can record for a maximum of 110 minutes.
In addition to the DCR-DVD908, Sony Gulf expanded its DVD Handycam digital camcorder range with three new additions, the DCR-DVD808, DCR-DVD708 and the DCR-DVD608. Storing nearly two hours of great-looking images and videos with 5.1ch surround sound on 8cm DVD media, the newest Sony DVD Handycam range captures even more memories for your money.
Handycam DCR-DVD908
Complemented with improved ClearVid CMOS Sensor, a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens and an enhanced image processor, the DCR-DVD908 is capable of recording still images in a resolution equivalent to 6.1 mega pixels and with precise details in videos and still images anytime in everyday life. Sony's unique Super SteadyShot (optical) function immensely minimizes shake and reduces blurred images, ensuring superior picture quality under any demanding situations. Dual recording is available in this model, offering simultaneous capturing of high quality still images of 4.6 mega pixels while recording a video. With the optional InfoLITHIUM battery NP-FH100, the DCR-DVD908 offers exceptional stamina for a maximum of 6 hours for extended shooting.
The Handycam DCR-DVD908 is compatible with DVD-R, DVD-RW (VIDEO/VR), DVD+RW, and DVD+R DL (Dual Layer) and can record a maximum of 110 minutes (LP mode) on a DVD+R DL disc and the contents can be played back on PCs and most DVD players.
Superior Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround sound recording
Featuring the Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound, the DCR-DVD908 provides users with the best sound experience when enjoying their video. When using with the optional Bluetooth wireless surround stereo microphone ECM-HW1, users are able to record high quality sound up to 30 meters away from the object.
Handycam DCR-DVD808, DCR-DVD708 & DCR-DVD608
Every Sony DVD Handycam offers the 'shoot-eject-play' convenience of direct playback on a standard DVD player. With the addition of DVD+R DL (Dual-Layer) recording, all new models can now record for a maximum of 110 minutes, almost doubling the 60 minutes maximum record time of previous-generation DVD Handycam. The latest Handycam range doesn't just store more on every DVD: it offers greater battery stamina than predecessor models, too. The DCR-DVD708 and DCR-DVD608 meanwhile offer an unprecedented 40x Optical Zoom range - with the most impressive wide angle performance ever seen on a Sony Handycam. Low light shooting is also enhanced with a new Auto Slow Shutter function that automatically enhances sensitivity to achieve improved minimum illumination performance.
More comfortable, simpler operation
Image quality and new features aside, the latest models are even easier and more convenient to use. Every DVD Handycam now includes a Colour Viewfinder for framing and reviewing shots, while additional Record Start/Stop and zoom buttons are thoughtfully placed on the border of the camcorder's flip-out LCD screen. The new-generation Home menu and Help function on the LCD touch screen assures intuitive operation.
