At Middle East Electricity 2009, leading German company LIOS Technology will present its full range, including the very latest Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) systems and Real Time Thermal Rating (RTTR) solutions for ampacity predictions of energy transmission assets, including:

Full project engineering support during tendering and evaluation phase, commissioning and training on site, as well as service and maintenance capabilities.

Highly reliable DTS systems with a range of up to 16 km at a single ended multi mode fibre and with a range of up to 30 km at a single ended single mode fibre.

Customised software solutions for power cable and aerial line real-time monitoring including data storage, visualisation, Dynamic Cable Rating (RTTR) and integration into SCADA systems.

For TRANSCO's ICAD (Industrial City Abu Dhabi) project, LIOS Technology GmbH provided its well recognised OTS range equipment along with RTTR to monitor the temperature of the power cables supplied by cable manufacturer Silec Cable of France. The project runs on three circuits of 6km, each equipped with fibre optic cables. The commissioning and finalising part of the project will be completed during February 2009.
