United Arab Emirates, Dubai: UAE based multi-business conglomerate Ghassan Aboud Group signed a partnership agreement with “OK Trucks”, the certified IVECO pre-owned vehicles distributor to provide used Iveco trucks in the country and re-export them to neighboring regions and around the world. This strengthens the UAE's position in the field of re-exporting trucks especially that IVECO is the second-largest truck manufacturer in Europe.
For Ghassan Aboud Cars (GAC) this partnership is of strategic importance, as it will enable GAC to represent one of the market's largest manufacturers of trucks and vans around the world, it will also allow them to greatly support the truck sector in the UAE, the Middle East and Africa. Furthermore, it will help in supporting small and medium enterprises, the logistics and the FMCG sectors as well as fleet owners by presenting them with used trucks.
The collaboration between OK TRUCKS and Ghassan Aboud Cars also aims to fill the gaps and to ensure a reliable, easily accessible source for procuring pre-owned trucks.
It is forecasted to supply more than 200 units of internationally certified used trucks to the UAE annually. All these trucks follow European Emission Standards which is stringent and higher than the norms followed in the region.
"Since the beginning of the partnership with CNH, the strategy was three-pronged – develop and grow new product sales, reduce the cost of ownership for the end-user through the availability of competitively priced genuine spares and to develop secondary and used product sales." Jawed Ali Khan General Manager of Ghassan Aboud Commercial Vehicles and Heavy Equipment stated.
He also commented on the partnership saying:" The latest addition consolidates our product line and completes our offering for commercial trucks to our customers in the MEA region. We are immensely gratified that despite the havoc that this pandemic unleashed on worldwide markets GAC was able to successfully follow and implement the roadmap for IVECO brand development in our territories."
