Dubai Chamber to organise CSR Reporting workshop and UAE delegation to the Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency on April 20-21
Dubai Chamber's Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) is organising a one-and-a-half-day workshop on CSR Reporting on April 20 and 21 at the Chamber premises, in addition to the UAE Business Delegation to the Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency being held in the Dutch capital from May 7 to 9.
This is a highly interactive workshop, where participants will hear and learn about different reporting guidelines like the AA1000 Framework, the GRI Guidelines, United Nations Global Compact etc. and how they can be applied to sustainability reporting within companies to create value for both internal and external stakeholders. During the workshop, participants will have ample opportunity to share experiences and learn from experts and also examine and learn from a variety of published reports. The workshop is open to corporates, NGO's and academic institutions.
Day one of the workshop will focus on, starting the process, engaging stakeholders and selection of content for CSR Reporting in addition to using and applying GRI guidelines and Global Compact, and adding credibility to CSR Reporting via assurance and AA1000.
Participants will get a chance to write a basic CSR report using best practice examples on day two, while also discussing aspects like choice of format, layout and launch of the report. The second day will end with a networking lunch where participants will get an opportunity to interact with one another in an informal setting.
The UAE Business Delegation brings managers from companies and other organisations to join a 1,000 international participants in Amsterdam for the best global sustainability networking opportunity of the year. In addition, UAE delegates have the opportunity to visit Dutch companies and learn about their CSR activities. During the conference delegates will learn from global
leaders about the latest developments in the debates surrounding sustainability and reporting with regards to climate change issues, carbon disclosure, workplace, green buildings and cities and stakeholder engagement.

Pachauri, Chairman of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
