Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Shoppers will be in retail heaven as this year’s Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) serves up amazing sales, big savings and not to be missed promotions.

Taking place until 4 September, the 24th edition of DSS boasts an unrivalled selection of offers on global brands and homegrown favourites, with great deals on everything from the latest fashion looks to must-have homeware, and prices reduced from 25 to 75 per cent across more than 500 brands and 3,500 outlets.

A major boost to Dubai’s important retail sector, DSS welcomes residents and visitors to explore the city's world-famous mega malls, boutique stores and one-of-a-kind shopping experiences with special offers available each day.

All of the malls, stores and venues taking part in DSS follow the important health and safety rules, including social distancing and the wearing of masks at all times. Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), organisers of DSS, highlights some of the best retail promotions taking place throughout the summer-long festival.

Fashion Clothing

Ladies can shop for a great selection of fashion items at Temperley London and La Senza as each brand hosts a part sale with savings of between 25 to 75 per cent until 7 August, while Agent Provocateur offers 50 per cent off all items until 7 August. H&M will hold a part sale with prices slashed between 30 and 70 per cent from 8 July to 7 August, Scotch & Soda’s part sale, featuring savings between 30 and 40 per cent, will take place until 7 July and Fred Perry will tempt shoppers with its own 25 to 40 per cent off deal until 7 July. Gant stores will host various offers including half price deals and Buy One, Get One Free promotions until 7 August and until 29 July, Next will host deals including Buy One, Get One Free and Buy Two, Get One Free on selected collections plus many pieces will be priced from as low as AED50. Diesel and Diesel Kids will each host a 30 to 40 per cent part sale until 7 July.

Optical Offers

DSS is the ideal time to shop for new sunglasses or designer frames with a great choice of styles and brands available at super prices. Until 21 July, Vision Express and Solaris stores will host Buy Three, Get One Free deals on selected collections as well as 25 to 50 per cent off from 22 July to 7 August. Also until 7 August, Magrabi will cut prices by 25 to 50 per cent on selected items, Nice Optic and Opti Vision branches will offer Buy One, Get One Free deals and Prime Optics will have a part sale of 30 to 60 per cent off.


Step out in the latest styles this DSS with big deals to be enjoyed on shoes for all occasions and all budgets. Payless will hold a 25 to 75 per cent off part sale until 11 July. Al Iscafi stores will offer up to 25 per cent off selected items and Buy One Pair, Get Another Pair Free deals, Opera will reduce prices on designer brand shoes by up to 60 per cent, with 60 per cent off everything at Florsheim, 30 to 70 per cent off at Chic Shoes and up to 60 per cent off at K Corner, all until 7 August.

Kids & Baby

Keep the little ones looking their best with exciting DSS savings to be found on a wide range of children’s clothes and accessories around Dubai. Until 7 August, Monsoon Children and Mamas & Papas will offer up to 70 per cent off. There will be 25 to 50 per cent off until 10 July and then 50 to 75 per cent off from 11 July to 7 August at Justice. Families can shop for savings of up to 75 per cent off at branches of Pottery Barn Kids until 31 July plus the popular kids’ store will also offer AED25 off every purchase over AED100 and Buy Two, Get Two Free offers on selected items until 14 July.


Homeowners can give their villa or apartment a makeover this summer with DSS deals to be found at some of the city’s best-loved home stores. Until 14 July, Pottery Barn and West Elm stores will both offer AED25 off every purchase over AED100 and Buy Two, Get Two Free deals on selected items. From 9 to 31 July, both stores will cut prices by up to 75 per cent. William Sonoma stores will host savings of between 25 and 50 per cent until 8 July and Interiors will offer carefully selected items as part of DSS, with special savings of 30 to 55 per cent off until 4 September.

Perfumes & Cosmetics

Shoppers can pamper themselves plus friends and family with the very latest scents and other beauty finds from big name brands and regional favourites. Molton Brown will cut prices by up to 50 per cent until 7 August with up to 75 per cent off at Al Mukhalat Perfume until 7 July. Bath & Bodyworks will offer savings of up to 75 per cent off as well as deals including Buy Two, Get One Free and Buy One, Get One Free on selected items, available until 19 July. Bin Kamal Perfumes will reduce prices by up to 75 per cent until 7 August.

Gold & Jewellery

Until 4 September, as part of the DSS Save More When You Shop More with 1915 By Seddiqi & Sons promotion, customers who buy any watch or accessory will receive 25 per cent off, with savings rising to 30 per cent if two watches or accessories are purchased and 35 per cent off for three watches or accessories. Participating stores include 1915 By Seddiqi & Sons at BurJuman and Dubai Marina Mall, Seddiqi & Sons at The Dubai Mall and City Centre Mirdif, Guess Watches Boutique at Mall of the Emirates, Guess Watches & GC at City Centre Deira and Guess Boutique at BurJuman. Two lucky shoppers will also win AED5,000 in gift vouchers for 1915 By Sedidqi & Sons each week, with four winners announced on the final week of DSS.  A total of AED100,000 will be given away over the summer.
