Kuwait: Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low-cost carrier, has added two more new Indian destinations to its network, Vijayawada and Lucknow, further expanding its footprint across the country and reinforcing its role as the only airline currently operating between Kuwait and India during this critical period.
With this latest expansion under Project Vande Bharat, Jazeera Airways now serves a total of 14 Indian cities, continuing to scale up connectivity to meet the needs of Kuwait’s large Indian diaspora and support essential travel and workforce mobility between the two countries.
The addition of Vijayawada strengthens access to the state of Andhra Pradesh, while Lucknow opens up connectivity to Northern India, serving key population centers with strong social and economic ties to Kuwait. Both routes will operate via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of the airline’s established dual-base operations.
This announcement follows the recent addition of Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, and Kannur, building on Jazeera Airways’ existing network of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram — collectively creating one of the most comprehensive India networks from Kuwait under the current operating conditions.
Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, said:
“We continue to expand our India network under Project Vande Bharat, with a clear purpose - to ensure that people remain connected when it matters most. The addition of Vijayawada and Lucknow allows us to extend our reach across both South and North India, offering more direct and convenient options for passengers to travel closer to their homes. At a time when connectivity is critical, we remain focused on supporting the large Indian community, enabling movement of people and essential cargo while maintaining essential links between Kuwait and India.”
Operating through its dual-base network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dammam and Qaisumah Airports , Jazeera Airways has established an integrated travel corridor combining air and overland transport, ensuring continued accessibility despite ongoing operational constraints.
With a growing network of destinations, increasing frequencies, and additional capacity being deployed, Jazeera Airways continues to scale its operations to meet demand. The airline now offers 33 destinations, over 1,000 flights, and more than 200,000 seats through the end of April, alongside more than 2 million tons of cargo capacity.
Passengers can secure their seats starting today through the Jazeera Airways website, jazeeraairways.com or Jazeera app.
