Public Authority for Manpower has stopped issuing work permits for expats coming to Kuwait on commercial visit visas. Based on a recommendation issued by the Committee for Corona Emergencies last week this step has been taken as a precautionary measure as an outbreak of a new wave of pandemic in European countries.

In October the Council of Ministers agreed to restart issuing of all kind visas to Kuwait and the authority allowed the transfer of commercial visit visas to work visa/permit, reports Al Rai. Applications for transfer which have been received through automated system of Public Authority of Manpower will be processed without any obstacles. Any new transfers will be automatically banned by automated system from today.
