Oman - For travellers visiting Oman or citizens returning home, there is no exception made for those who have been vaccinated and everyone entering the borders of the Sultanate will have to undergo a PCR test and mandatory quarantine, the Ministry of Health has clarified.

The Information Department of the Ministry of Health said, "So far, no change in protocol has been approved by the Supreme Committee with regard to arrivals into Oman, including those who have been vaccinated. Everyone will be subject to a test and isolation, with Omani citizens undergoing home isolation while foreign visitors and expat workers are required to undergo institutional isolation including those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19."

Dr. Zakaria Al Balushi, a consultant in the infections diseases department at the Royal Hospital also confirmed: "Even those who have taken one or two doses of the vaccine will have to undergo the prescribed protocols."
