TUNIS - The hotel trade balance sheet, presented at the Tunisian Hotel Trade Federation (FTH) Executive Board's meeting, held with attendance of FTH Chairman Mohamed Belajouza, posted a slight improvement of activity during this year's high season, compared with the previous period.

The communiqué published by FTH, on Friday in Tunis, reads that this performance is still below last year's results and what had been forecast for the current year.

As regards domestic tourism, the Executive Board has planned to establish short-, mid- and long-term strategies to further develop the sector.

Additionally, FTH commends the partnership set up with the Interior Ministry to guarantee quite and safe holidays in the tourist regions.

The FTH Executive Board and the newly elected Tunisian Travel Agencies Federation (FTAV) expressed determination, according to the same communiqué, to develop their collaboration and partnership, as part of the Tunisian Tourism Crafts Union, whose formation is underway.
