Head of the fine arts sector at the Culture Ministry, Khaled Sorour, will launch an exhibition at the Cairo Opera House from 10 to 21 August, under the auspices of Minister of Culture Ines Abdel Dayem.

The exhibition will present works by plastic artist Magda Ali.

She said that her works in the exhibition aim to express her belief that souls travel during sleep, roam familiar and unknown places, meet other souls whether strangers or closed ones, and return to body loaded with stories and pictures.

The exhibition will include 35 oil paintings on canvas of different sizes.

Ali obtained a PhD in art and fine art criticism from the Institute of Art Criticism at the Academy of Arts. She is also a researcher at the Department of Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of African Studies in Cairo University.
