Muscat: The Ministry of Health has said that medical equipment and supplies being imported or exported out of Oman must be approved by the Ministry prior to their movement.

A statement issued online by MOH said : "Within the scope of regulating the market of medical equipment and supplies in the Sultanate, the Ministry of Health would like to clarify that a prior approval from the Ministry must be obtained for exporting and importing the medical equipment and supplies. The service will be made available via the Ministry’s website www.moh.gov.om from January 1, 2021. Companies which have not yet included their products during the previous period must perform the inclusion without delay to facilitate the process of product clearance."
