RIYADH - The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) said that residents in Saudi Arabia can travel to the GCC countries with their electronic identity, provided that they adhere to two conditions.

It has clarified that residents must obtain a visa and a valid travel document to be able to travel to GCC countries with their digital ID, adding that they are also required to adhere to the conditions and requirements of the country that they will travel to.

The Jawazat's clarification came in response to one of the beneficiaries inquiring about the possibility of traveling to the GCC countries with the electronic identity, while bringing their passport.
