RAK Ports and Stevin Rock, one of largest quarrying companies in the world, have held a one-day careers fair to offer Emiratis 50 jobs across a variety of disciplines and skill levels within their operations.

The event, held at RAK Port’s new purpose-built passenger cruise terminal in collaboration with Ras Al Khaimah’s Investment and Development Office and Human Resources Department, attracted hundreds of job seekers keen to make their mark on two of the Emirate’s most successful companies, said a statement.

Potential candidates were able to submit their CVs for positions ranging from network engineer, marine technician, accountant, vessel traffic service officer and many more. They will now go through the interview process until the successful candidates are identified.

The careers fair was part of Ras Al Khaimah’s ongoing efforts to create gainful employment for local community members.

RAK Government’s Human Resources Department reached out to about 1,000 job seekers to promote the careers fair via social media, email and its website, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
