An agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Social Development, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority and Oman Education and Training Investments Company to qualify job seekers to establish productive projects in the industrial sector.

"The Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Social Development, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority and Oman Education and Training Investments Company signed a cooperation agreement to qualify a number of job seekers from members of social security and limited income families, training and enabling them to establish productive projects in the industrial sector to be small and medium enterprises," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

 

ONA added that the agreement aimed to establish small and medium companies in the industrial sector, raise the percentage of industrial indicators, encourage contribution to the gross domestic product in the industrial sector, and focus on future skills in the industrial sector in line with the 'Oman Vision 2040'.
