MUSCAT -- Howrath Mak Ghazali has announced to organise a two-day workshop on 'Corporate fraud detection and forensic accounting' on September 21 and 22 at Hotel InterContinental. The programme will be inaugurated by Hamood Sangour al Zadjali, Executive President of Central Bank of Oman. The workshop will focus on fraud detection, and prevention techniques, identification of the red flags of fraud, fraud auditing creative techniques, the nature and purpose offorensic interviews, handwriting analysis and documentary forgery. It also includes digital forensics, developing the forensic reports and data analytics.

The two-day workshop will explain the nature of financial fraud, how to detect fraudulent activities, and most importantly how to investigate any type of financial fraud. It will also explore, the various possible avenues of computer-based investigations. The training focuses on audit techniques, fraud detection techniques, accounting and law, practically auditing and investigation of frauds, collection of evidence, documentation which can stand the test of legal scrutiny and write succinct, factual reports.
