Ras Al Khaimah: Firemen helped pull an Egyptian family out of the rubble of their home after their water heater exploded and destroyed the ceilings of the rooms and the main door of the house in the Al Jolan area.
Colonel Saeed Imbasi, head of the Civil Defence Department, said the case was reported to the Police Operations Room who instructed the department to act immediately.
Imbasi said several vehicles went to the scene and found the water heater destroyed and the walls, ceilings, and doors badly damaged.
He stressed the house could collapse at any moment.
He said a neighbouring house also suffered damage from the explosion and the family was evacuated.
