The CMA CGM Group provides new fruit and vegetable export solutions to the Arab Gulf, the Red Sea and the Indian sub-continent

The CMA CGM Group upgrades its Lebanese service by adding a call in Beirut on its EPIC line, joining North Europe to Indian sub-continent, and on its MEX line, joining the Mediterranean to Asia

The 6 CMA CGM services calling Beirut place Lebanon at the heart of world trade

The CMA CGM Group, a leading worldwide shipping group, is pleased to announce that starting July 27th the Port of Beirut will be called each week by two of its most emblematic lines. Those lines complete the Group's offer in Lebanon.

The CMA CGM Group provides producers new solutions for imports and fruit and vegetable exports to the Arab Gulf, the Red Sea and the Indian sub-continent.

By adding weekly calls in Beirut to its EPIC service, joining North Europe to the Indian sub-continent, and to its MEX service, joining the Mediterranean to Asia, the CMA CGM Group adapts its offer to the Lebanese companies' demand. Those additional calls will offer them new export solutions to Jeddah, the Arab Gulf, the Red Sea and the Indian sub-continent.

The Group's EPIC and MEX services' competitive transit times enable the transport of products requiring fast routings. The demand in fresh fruit and vegetable of Jeddah and the Arab Gulf is high. CMA CGM therefore adapts its services to the Lebanese companies offer as well as to the Arab Gulf and Saudi Arabia's demand.

The Group's vessels sailing the EPIC and MEX lines have a capacity of 6,500 to 10,400 TEU containers, and each of them can transport hundreds of refrigerated containers. Depending on the seasons and demand, they will carry potatoes, citrus, apples, lettuces...

è Starting July 27th, the EPIC line will join Lebanon to the Middle East, Indian and North European markets, and with a transshipment in the hub of Tangiers to North and South America and West Africa

è Starting July 28th, the MEX line will join Beirut to the West Mediterranean ports, to Saudi Arabia, to Arab Gulf and Asia. The service calls in Port Kelang and Malta will offer additional connections to many of the world's markets.

The 6 CMA CGM services calling Beirut place Lebanon at the heart of the world trade.

The EPIC and MEX lines complement the 4 other services of the CMA CGM Group that have been calling the Port of Beirut. Lebanon is therefore placed at the heart of the world trade and directly connected to Europe, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, the Arab Gulf and the Red Sea.

The CMA CGM Group is Lebanon number one company for exports and number two for imports. CMA CGM employs 22,000 persons in the world, including 200 in Lebanon, where it has been present since the Group's creation in 1978.
