Discussions focused on how du is "Rethinking the Future of Media and Communications"

Dubai, UAE - On the 28th of September, Abdulwahed Juma, Executive Vice President, Brand and Corporate Communications at du, spoke to students at the American University of Dubai’s Media Chat session. The session was held at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication, and Abdulwahed spoke to students majoring in communication and media sciences on how du is “Rethinking the Future of Media and Communications”. This included a presentation on new and interesting ways that du is engaging with its customers, and how corporations can leverage new channels and platforms to get their voice heard in today’s media landscape. Abdulwahed is also scheduled to share his knowledge and experience to other students in the next few weeks at numerous other UAE Universities.

“At du, we believe that our contribution to society as a telecom operator extends to many other areas that can be enhanced by technology, and education in the field of media and communication is one of them. As a company, we focus on developing a community strategy that encourages youth empowerment, innovation and education. I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to talk to students at AUD, as I also studied there in 2006 for my Masters in Business Administration. Projects like these and our other youth initiatives, such as du’s graduate trainee program and AUD Scholarships are great examples of how we are helping develop the future leaders of tomorrow and are a testament to our commitment,” said Abdulwahed Juma.
