AMMAN The Ministry of Health on Saturday said that 36 individuals who arrived to Jordan from regions where the coronavirus has spread are currently in quarantine, with 21 of them recorded on Friday.

In its daily press briefing, the ministry noted that it has provided a quarantine location that offers better services, and that those in quarantine in the Epidemiology Department at Al Bashir Hospital are being transferred to a hotel that the ministry has rented to be a quarantine site.

The briefing added that the costs of staying at the new site will be covered by the Ministry of Health, confirming that the hotel has been completely medically isolated and has a medical team. According to the ministry, a total of 200 individuals have been quarantined and subsequently released after it was proven that they were not infected with the virus and 14 days had passed.

The ministry added that countries from which non-Jordanians are currently denied entry to the Kingdom, and from which Jordanians are admitted directly into quarantine, are China, South Korea, Iran and Italy.
