Thailand National Oil Company (PTTEP) undertook to launch exploration studies on three oil fields of Changooleh, Dalpari and Belal.
A Memorandum of Understanding to that effect was signed by Deputy head of National Iranian Oil Company for Development and Engineering Affairs Gholam Reza Manouchehri and Deputy Executive Manager of PTTEP Mr. Prapat Soponpongpipat on Tuesday.
According to the agreement the Thai national oil company will hand over the outcome of the exploration studies to National Iranian Oil Company.
Manouchehri said other companies are doing the exploration of the fields and PTTEP has also six months to do its undertaking and present outcome of the studies to NIOC for development of the three fields.
He said that the PTTEP is working in 14 different countries and it has a record of cooperation with Iran in the field of discovery.
Soponpongpipat expressed hope that the MoU would lead to strategic and long-term cooperation with NIOC.
