RIYADH Saudi citizens have been warned against traveling to Indonesia directly or indirectly over coronavirus concerns, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday citing an official source at the Ministry of Interior.

In the statement carried by the SPA, the interior ministry source said that the move is based on the government's keenness on the safety of citizens who wish to travel abroad as Indonesia is witnessing a surge in cases of coronavirus new variant.

The interior ministry called on the citizens who are already in Indonesia to exercise caution and to stay away from areas witnessing the spread of the virus, to follow all precautionary measures and to return to the Kingdom at the earliest, the statement added.
