Muscat: Chief Executive Officer of Oman Post, member of the Asyad Group, participated at the Oman E-Commerce Conference 2019, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Under the theme ‘Everything Online’, Abdulmalik Albalushi highlighted the pivotal role of postal services within the dynamic eCommerce sector and the importance of nurture meaningful collaborations among all stakeholders. The CEO highlighted how SMEs are leveraging Oman Post’s network and reach to help expand their businesses. He also shared key updates about Oman Post’s performance emphasizing the high efficiency practices that led to a 128% increase in sorting speed, while on time delivery achieved by the Express Mail Service (EMS) to deliver packages on time reached a record 97.4% in August 2019. Last February, Oman Post was recognized as “Committed to Excellence” by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
