BEIJING - The Beijing-backed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) said on Monday that its directors approved two investment projects in Turkey worth a combined $500 million.

AIIB said in a statement the $500 million includes a $300 million loan for a project to improve responses to disasters such as earthquakes.

Another $200 million will be used for renewable energy and energy efficient infrastructure, it said.
