Iraq and Egypt discussed investment by Egyptian firms in Iraq as well as prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Iraqi, Egyptian and Jordanian Joint Coordination Council. 

 Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Planning, told Zawya Projects that the discussions were held between the Minister of Planning, Khaled Batal Al-Najm and Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Walid Muhammad Ismail. 

He said that the two sides discussed the progress of Egypt-Jordan-Iraq grid interconnection project, and housing, road and bridge projects slated to be implemented by Egyptian companies in Iraq.
