Sber has presented a new, batch version of its disinfection robot. Created by Sber’s Robotics Lab, the disinfection robot is already being used in the company’s offices and is now being supplied to partners in Russian regions. The robot is set to be presented with National Computer Corporation Middle East (NCC ME), Sber’s partner in the region, at the GITEX exhibition, which is being held in the UAE between December 6 and 10.

The brand-new version is not simply more effective and user-friendlier than the previous version or any of its alternatives. It also takes into account all the peculiarities of the robot’s use in real life, which first of all applies to people’s safety requirements.

An autonomous collaborative device, the disinfection robot not only configures its cleaning route and moves indoors, but also disinfects in the automatic mode.

With ultraviolet lamps, the robot kills pathogens and cleans the air and surfaces in a matter of minutes. This allows it to disinfect the premises faster and better. Robots are produced using the assets of our subsidiary, STK, which rolled out the production of such complex products in the shortest possible time.

Stanislav Kuznetsov

Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank

This robot is one of our first R&D products for the foreign market, and we are glad that our solutions are of interest not only in Russia but also in the world. Our partner, NCC ME, which is promoting the robot in the UAE, sees a high demand for this mechanical assistant in the Middle East. On our part, we are happy to join the cause, helping our Russian, as well as foreign counterparts, fight against the pandemic.

Albert Yefimov

Vice President, Director of Research and Innovations

Versatility and flexibility are among the robot’s main advantages: if necessary, it can be easily reconfigured for an entirely different scenario, or some of its parameters can be changed.

Robotization expands the areas where disinfection can be used significantly: ultraviolet used to be utilized by medical doctors only, while today any kind of premises — offices, schools, and other public institutions — can be disinfected in this way.
