Amman, Jordan: In line with its continuous efforts to provide aid and support to the local community, and in light of the current difficult circumstances witnessed by the Kingdom, the Jordan Ice & Aerated Company (a joint venture with PepsiCo International), announced the launch of its Ramadan campaign that supports several of Tkiyet Um Ali’s programs during the holy month of Ramadan, by supporting a sustainable food support program that benefits many underprivileged families in all governorates of the Kingdom.

As part of its Ramadan campaign, PepsiCo Jordan is sponsoring a group of Tkiyet Um Ali families throughout the holy month by firstly donating the cost of food parcels that Tkiyet Um Ali delivers to needy families, and secondly by sponsoring the distribution of hot iftar meals for families in need. In addition to that, PepsiCo Jordan donated 50 thousand packages of various 250 ml products, to be distributed along with hot iftar meals.

Commenting on the occasion, HR and PR Director of Jordan Ice & Aerated Water Company, Motassem Salameh said, “Our Ramadan campaign shares the same goals as those of Tikyet Um Ali. Building on the strategic partnership that brought us together for six years, through which we are expanding the umbrella of giving, and embody our humanitarian and developmental role. Together, we aim to alleviate the burdens placed on the shoulders of Tikyet Um Ali and provide our support in achieving their goals aimed at fighting hunger and assisting the disadvantaged. We are committed to this role under any circumstances, and we will continue to support those who need it.”

For his part, Director General of Tikyet Um Ali, Samer Balkar, said, “At Tikyet Um Ali, we believe in the importance of our partnership with the private sector, especially in light of the current exceptional circumstances in the Kingdom. Unfortunately, the people affected the most by these conditions are the families in need who are unable to secure food for their day. Therefore, PepsiCo Jordan’s support towards Tikyet Um Ali over the past several years, in addition to its support for sustainable food support programs under these circumstances, demonstrates their firm belief in Tkiyet Um Ali’s journey of reaching a hunger-free Jordan.”

It is worth noting that this campaign is considered only one of the several campaigns implemented by the Jordan Ice & Aerated Water Company, as a result of its corporate social responsibility strategy, through which it strives to support all sectors, community spectrum, national issues, and urgent challenges, in order to continue to form positive differences in the Kingdom.
