DUBAI - Saudi Arabia's state grain buyer, the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) said on Monday it bought 625,000 tonnes of hard wheat in an international tender.

The wheat was purchased at an average price of $256.57 cost and freight (C&F)a tonne, SAGO said.

Origins offered were the European Union, North America, South America, and Australia with the seller having the option of selecting the origin supplied.

The tender, for wheat with 12.5 percent protein content, had closed on Friday with the agency seeking delivery periods from September to October.

The shipments, ten consignments, will be distributed to three Saudi ports, with 375,000 tonnes to Jeddah, 195,000 tonnes to Dammam and 55,000 tonnes to Jazan, a statement by SAGO said.

-65,000 tonnes from Glencore Grain at $262.01 (Sep. 1-10)

-65,000 tonnes from Cofco Resources at $262.88(Sep. 20-30)

-65,000 tonnes from Cofco Resources at $262.49(Oct. 10-20)

 

Jazan Sea Port (C&F):

-55,000 tonnes from Agrorodeo at $253.47 (Sep. 1-10)
