PARIS - * Jordan's state grains buyer bought 60,000 tonnes of animal feed barley in an international tender that closed on Thursday, traders and a government source said.

* It purchased the barley, of optional origin, from trading firm GTCS for $258.75 a tonne, cost and freight included, for shipment in the first half of April, they said.

* The sources said the following offers were made by other firms in the tender: Hakan $262; Glencore $266; Bunge $267; Al Ghurair $269.95; Viking $273; Aston $275; COFCO $280.5; CBH $281.

* Jordan had sought in the tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of barley.
