CAIRO- The lowest offer for wheat presented at Egyptian state grain buyer GASC's international purchase tender on Wednesday was $239 a tonne for US soft red wheat for Feb. 20-28 shipment free on board (FOB), traders said.
The lowest offer for wheat for a second shipping period of Mar. 1-10 at the same purchase tender was $249 a tonne for 55,000 tonnes of US hard red wheat, traders said.
GASC is seeking an unspecified amount of wheat for shipping Feb. 20-28 and Mar. 1-10 and results are expected later on Wednesday.
