Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian railway network has transported 1.8 million travellers through its four stations – Riyadh, Dammam, Hofuf, and Abqaiq – in 2019, according to data released on Wednesday by the Saudi Railways Organization.

The number of passengers using the railway network grew by 4.06% year-on-year, or 70,000, in 2019.

In December, Saudi railways received the highest monthly number of travellers recorded last year, as 170,529 travellers used the network during the month.

The Saudi railway network covers around 4,000 kilometres, with 2,500-kilometre expansion planned.
