Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of narcotics into Oman.
"The Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, led by the North Al Batinah Governorate Police, thwarted an attempt to smuggle large quantities of narcotics belonging to an international gang. After the smuggling boat was spotted entering the Omani territorial sea, it was followed up and the smuggler was arrested with crystal, morphine and hashish drugs," ROP said in a statement.
