Dubai: As part of its commitment to continuous quality improvement in its services as per the global standards, Avivo Group, one of the fastest growing healthcare service providers in the GCC, has signed an accord with the globally renowned Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI).
Under the agreement, Australia’s leading Healthcare Assessment and Accreditation provider will award the Avivo Group’s National Hospital, Abu Dhabi, with accreditation. The purpose of the ACHSI accreditation programme is to guide the performance of organisations to deliver safe, high-quality health care.
ACHSI is one of the only three accreditations recognised by the UAE’s Ministry of Health, Dubai Health Authority and Abu Dhabi Health Authority (HAAD). The other two are Joint Commission International (JCI) and Accreditation Canada International (ACI) respectively.
ACHSI provides a range of accreditation focused on the specific needs of each organisation, utilising internationally recognised standards that are focused on the key attributes of a health care organisation.
“Quality is always paramount at all the entities under AVIVO Group. We take pride in being able to sign an agreement with ACHSI for its accreditation, which will be for the whole Group. It will also help us in getting ahead of other healthcare leaders in the region,” said Dr. Dilshaad Ali, Chief Executive Officer of AVIVO Group.
“We have robust policies, procedures, systems and frameworks in place that are continually reviewed for quality improvement to ensure that we provide safe health services to all our patients while maintaining the high quality of medical care,” Dr. Ali added.
The Group has won many awards and accreditations, including the HAAD JAWDA Awards and the CAP accreditation, for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by various regulatory authorities in the country. It has also been awarded the “Superbrands” status for the year 2019 for demonstrating excellence in providing high-quality healthcare services through its premium, specialised hospitals and medical centres in the UAE.
In addition to that, AVIVO Group is awarded accreditation for Quality in International Patient Care by the German-based International Certification Organization, Temos. ACHSI accreditation will be an additional feather to the success of the organisation.
ACHSI is Australia’s leading Healthcare Assessment and Accreditation provider which is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving quality in healthcare.
