The supply chain has not been affected and silo stocks are safe, the Jordan Silos and Supply General Company Director-General Emad Tarawneh said on Wednesday.

The company has been ready to implement an emergency plan and work around the clock using the available trucks in cooperation with the authorities, Tarawneh said. He said that Aqaba Silos on Tuesday shipped 15,000 tonnes of grains, and the silos’ operations and shipping movements have returned to normal across the Kingdom. He added that Aqaba's 180,000 tonnes of storage capacity helped supply mills and bakeries with wheat and flour, and supplied bulk malt to fodder centres, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
