The first batch of the 73 prefabricated villas for the Sheybarah Island Resort at the mega Red Sea Project have been delivered, Red Sea Global CEO John Pagano revealed in a tweet.

“Welcoming the future of tourism to #SaudiArabia. Designed by @killadesign, built off-site by Grankraft, and transported from the UAE to Saudi Arabia by @MammoetGlobal, these space-age orbs are the first batch of 73 overwater villas for our iconic Sheybarah resort at #TheRedSea” the tweet read.

In May 2022, the developer awarded a contract to Netherlands-headquartered Mammoet to transport, deliver and install 73 prefabricated overwater and beach villas.

The hyper-luxury resort, located in the southeast of the archipelago on the Red Sea, has been designed by Dubai-based architectural firm Killa Design. Sheybarah Resort is designed to be a LEED Platinum, off-grid, zero energy, zero water development, powered by a centralised solar farm and supplied with fresh water from a solar-powered desalination plant.
