French construction and engineering consultancy Egis announced on Tuesday that it has been appointed by Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for the Al Mutlaa City Development (MCD) mega project.

Egis said in a press statement that it will provide programme-level service management, construction logistics and interface management, cost management, and digital programme management system and project management information system (PMIS) for the MCD project.

The MCD project, located 38.3 kilometres Northwest of the Kuwait Metropolitan area, is spread over an area of approximately 104 square kilometres and is expected to house up to 400,000 people. The City consists of residential, social, commercial and light industrial areas.

On Tuesday, Egis had announced its appointment as project manager for SEVEN’s (Saudi Entertainment Ventures) entertainment destinations in the Kingdom.

Prior to that, Saudi’s MATARAT Holding had signed a three-year agreement with Egis for technical and project management services covering 26 airports in the Kingdom.
