SAS International, a leading manufacturer of interior fit-out products, is pleased to announce it has become an affiliate member of the Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS).
SAS International manufactures a range of metal ceiling systems and architectural metalwork solutions for differing environments such as commercial, education and healthcare to railway and airport terminals. As part of QSAS, SAS International's products will contribute toward credits for areas such as acoustics, VOCs, recycled materials and design for disassembly.

The primary objective of Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS) is to create a sustainable built environment that minimizes ecological impact while addressing the specific regional needs of Qatar. Each criteria of the system was carefully developed to measure the environmental, social and economic impact of the project, both regionally and globally.
SAS International has already produced ISO 14025 Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its entire range of suspended ceiling systems. The manufacturer assessed the entire life cycle from cradle to end of life including raw materials, transport to factory, manufacturing, delivery to multiple global sites (UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia).
