Leading mathematics tools manufacturer demonstrates products for the first time in the Middle East

Polydron Ltd will demonstrate its mathematical educational product range to the Middle East for the first time at Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions (GESS) 2009, being held at Dubai's Airport Expo Centre from 10-12 March 2009.

Regarded as the world's original geometric construction product and a quality educational resource in mathematics, Polydron will highlight the importance of using dimensional geometry, prisms, cuboids and pyramids in developing creativity, aiding problem solving abilities and enhancing the manipulative skills of students. During GESS, the company will demonstrate to visiting educationalists from the region how their products can be applied to teach potentially complex subjects such as mathematics and geometry.

"Polydron is firmly established in the UK, Japan, Korea, and throughout Europe and the USA and is recognised as an important educational tool for children from 4 years onwards. With the fast paced development occurring in the Middle East region, we believe that this market offers our products great potential," said Richard Hardstaff, Managing Director, Polydron Ltd.

"GESS is considered to be the region's only event for education suppliers such as ourselves and we look forward to educating key decision-makers from GCC-based educational institutions and introducing our unique geometric construction products. We have complemented our range of products with some excellent new developments into design and technology, engineering and literacy and these new products will be on show for the first time in the region through the GESS show," Hardstaff added.

GESS, the region's premier educational, supplies and solutions event, is organised by Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E) and will provide a platform for Polydron to meet potential partners to distribute their products in the Middle East region. Polydron is produced in four primary colours - red, blue, yellow and green - and is initially used as a construction product, progressing to demonstration of both simple and complex geometry.

"Polydron is known as an essential educational tool in teaching mathematics to children and over 25 years has earned the respect of teachers and pupils around the world with its quality products. We look forward to welcoming market leaders such as Poldyron to this year's GESS and helping them to position their products in the Middle East and GCC region," said Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director, F&E.

GESS will also simultaneously host the Global Education Forum, a three-day education forum, which includes exhibitor workshops and round table summits, with local and international keynote speakers, including abstracts from local educationalists. Regular updates can be accessed on the GESS website - www.gulfeducation.info.

GESS 2008, including the Global Education Forum, received more than 4,000 education professionals from 35 countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa including ministerial delegations from Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Oman.

GESS 2009 is officially supported by the UAE Ministry of Education, the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and the UK Trade and Investment Support, World Didac and Didacta (The German Educational Supplies Association) and assisted by AUMA - the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry. The event's official media partner is Education Times Middle East, a business to business publication for the education industry.
