Logicom registers double win with Kingston's 'Best Distributor' Awards in Value RAM and Digital Media product categories
Dubai, 12 Nov -- Leading regional IT distribution firm, Logicom was recently honored as the 'Best Distributor' with awards in Value RAM and Digital Media product categories by top memory product vendor, Kingston Technology. The awards were based on the distributor's impressive contribution in terms of total revenue and growth performance in YTD 2008. The winners were felicitated during Kingston's Channel Partner event that took place during Gitex 2008 in Dubai, UAE, attracting more than 50 local partners.
A long standing and committed Kingston distributor, Logicom has been instrumental to Kingston's local success for its Value RAM and Flash product line with significant achievements in terms of opportunities and revenue. With a comprehensive product portfolio, Logicom today operates through five business units focusing on Components, Corporate, Networking, Software and Retail reseller verticals. Kingston is the second biggest vendor in Logicom's components division across the GCC and KSA. Kingston has also been a strategic partner for Logicom's integrator business, and lately for the Retail unit. With a strong reseller base, Logicom currently distributes Kingston in UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Yemen, KSA, Jordan, Lebanon, Cyprus, Greece, Malta and Italy.
"We are delighted to win this important award. Kingston is one of our top performing brands and in the Gulf, we are fortunate to have one of the best teams in the business," said Mr. Michael Papaeracleous, Executive Director of Distribution, Logicom Public Ltd. "Even after 16 years as a Kingston distributor, it is extraordinary that the business is still growing at such strength. This would not have been possible without the support of our highly committed team, and the constant guidance and strategic input of our partners at Kingston."
"Logicom has been a strategic distributor for Kingston in the Middle East since they came to the region in 2000. This award demonstrates that Logicom continues to focus and develop Kingston's products in the region," said Antoine Harb, Business development manager, Kingston Middle East and Africa
During the first three quarters of 2008, Logicom grew its Kingston revenue by 33% over last year with a 25% increase in active customer breadth. With strategic initiatives underway, Logicom is set to improve revenue levels and reseller penetration with Kingston through Q4 2008.
