PulseMedPlus garners positive response

GITEX 2002, marked the beginning of a partnership between Infinite Dimensions, the USA-based software Services Company with its regional headquarters in Dubai Internet City and the Belhoul Group of UAE, for the joint marketing of Infinite Dimensions products in UAE. The alliance was inked following the visit of Faisal Bin Juma Belhoul, Managing Director of Belhoul Group of companies, to the Infinite Dimensions’ stand, which was part of the Dubai Internet City (DIC) pavilion.

Infinite Dimensions and the Belhoul Group share a common goal and vision of being at the forefront of providing integrated healthcare solutions to the UAE market. To begin with, Infinite Dimensions is implementing its state-of-the-art hospital management system Pulse, at the modern Belhoul Apollo Hospital in Dubai.

The Belhoul Group has been trading in hospital and medical supplies since 1969 when it formed Gulf and World Traders. The company is the leading player in the medical supplies industry and is reactive to the continuous technological developments that have taken place in the field of medical and hospital instrumentation and consumables.

Infinite Dimensions had chosen to participate as part of the DIC partner pavilion to draw attention to its products for the Government and private sector. “The response has been better than expected,” says Abdul Zahir, Vice President and Middle East Managing Director. “We hope to participate in all future events as part of the DIC pavilion and look forward to being part of the pavilion at GITEX Jeddah and GITEX Cairo,” he added.

Infinite Dimensions’ latest Healthcare Information System PulseMedPlus, which was showcased during GITEX 2002, impressed prospective clients not only from UAE but also from all over the Middle East especially from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. This software has been designed keeping in mind the patients and the providers. Users with domain knowledge in healthcare were particularly impressed by the depth of PulseMedPlus in terms of patient billing, insurance, Clinical Management, Nursing Care, OP/IP patient management to ward management.

The concept of providers’ interface, which is a new module introduced with PulseMedPlus along with, integrated modules for dietary, laundry, CSSD, meals management etc. was of particular interest to visitors from large hospitals.

Infinite Dimensions’ partner ERP products from ACCPAC International also received special appreciation. ACCPAC modules such as GL consolidation for multi-Group companies and Comprehensive Financial Optimizer (CFO) along with special modules such as Manufacturing, Service Manager and Warehouse Management drew particular attention. “Comprehensive Financial Optimizer (CFO) is a great tool for generating a one page financial score card for a ‘what if?’ analysis” said Zahir.

Another partner product from ExcelSoft, the e-learning suite, which was also launched during GITEX, was acclaimed by the academic community especially for its authoring tools and the comprehensive module for assessment management, along with the syndication mechanism built within the managed learning environment (MLE).
