Dubai - International IT services company Halian today announced that they have been approved by Microsoft as one of a select group of partners to provide services through the Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program in the Gulf Region; the first such accreditation in the region.
The Managed SAM program is designed to provide a continual, governance-based, outsourced service, via accredited providers, to help customers more effectively manage their software assets. By introducing customers to Software Asset Management best practices, tools, and resources, while providing a complete view of their infrastructure, the program is designed to help them drive better IT decisions throughout all software and related asset lifecycle management.
For Halian customers in the region, this relationship will open up access to best practice software asset management. This includes being able to optimize their deployment footprint to only pay for what they are using, recommendations on how to prevent under/over licensing, reduced risk of audits from Microsoft while in the program, and support for digital cloud migration.
Jacob Wolff Christensen, Halian’s Microsoft Practice Manager commented: “Most organizations struggle to manage their software licensing efficiently - often under or over licensing against their real usage. We have partnered with Microsoft to help our clients to identify and remove any shortfalls or excesses in their software investments. We are delighted to have become the first trusted advisor and Managed SAM partner to Microsoft in the region. It’s a huge accolade and testament to our relationship and the work we have been doing with and for our customers.”
Sonia Ben Hamida, Middle East and Africa - Software Asset Management & Compliance Lead at Microsoft, said: “Implementing a Microsoft SAM solution provides a system for effective management, control, and protection of software assets within a company. With this well-deserved accreditation, Halian will lead the way in the Gulf region in providing customers with data-driven facts and information around key technology challenges. We’re delighted to recognise Halian as a key partner in helping customers make informed technology decisions.”
Halian becomes the first provider in the Gulf region to be a Microsoft Certified Managed SAM Partner. It will begin working with customers through this program to provide valuable Managed SAM services and help drive IT initiatives with a focus on helping customers realize their strategic Cloud initiatives across Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
