LG Steam Dishwasher Delivers Prewash-free, Greater Load Flexibility and Improved Energy Use
Amman, Jordan( May 28, 2011) - LG Electronics (LG) today unveiled a new steam dishwasher with TrueSteam™ technology, which delivers a powerful dishwashing performance that frees users from having to prewash their dishes, saving them time while keeping their hands dry and healthy.
The dishwasher's SmartRack™ has easily adjustable tines that can accommodate a wide range of different-sized dishes and utensils, providing enhanced flexibility and functionality, while the Inverter Direct Drive™ motor ensures top-grade performance. What sets this dishwasher apart is its "Racks 3" technology, which allows it to wash a large number of plates at the same time, while also cutting down on both water and energy usage, as opposed to the "Racks 2" technology that other dishwashers possess.
TrueSteam™ works by creating high-temperature steam particles that are injected from carefully positioned pressure nozzles. Once the particles attach themselves to the grease and grime on the dishes, temperatures quickly rise to melting point, so by the time the entire cycle is finished, the dishes are spotless.
The dishwasher's slim, ultra-efficient motor relies on LG's Inverter Direct Drive technology. The design allows for a smooth transfer of energy from the motor to the water spray system, optimizing the intensity for each particular load.
By using power more intelligently, LG's Inverter Direct Drive dishwashers are rated as 15 percent more efficient. Despite its flawless dishwashing performance, it uses 42 percent less water than conventional washers, resulting in an A++ grade for energy use. While conventional dishwasher spends energy consumption of 1.08kWh and water usage of 14 liter, LG's new dishwasher needs much less energy and water down to 0.92kWh and 9 liter. Additionally, LG provides a 10 year warranty on Inverter Direct Drive Motor installed dish washers, demonstrating its confidence in the durability.
SmartRack™ system allows the interior of the dishwasher to be more flexible to the particular needs of the user It maximize useable space and even accommodates awkward sized bowls, pans, platters or other odd-shaped dishes.
LG's unique height adjustable third rack adds flexibility by making room to fit even larger items such as spatulas, whisks or wooden spoons.
