Dubai Quality Group (DQG) and its subgroup Ideas Emirates held their First UAE Ideas Conference which concluded on Tuesday. The theme of the Conference was 'My Innovation - My Identity.'

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of the Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Emirates Airline & Group and Honorary Patron of DQG, the Conference was well attended by a number of leaders, dignitaries and a large segment of interested Emiratis who joined the moot with their experiments of excellence and successes, seeking further and better opportunities in their professional future.

The conference kicked off with a welcome speech by Ms. Feryal Tawakul, Chairperson of Ideas.Arabia Subgroup, and a speech by Saleh Janeeh, Chairman of DQG, who said that "the UAE still maintains its world towering position on the ranking ladder of excellence, innovation and leadership, which grows year after year, and all the achievements made in light of our wise government were made for the UAE and its citizens."

Janeeh said, "The future is the youth of this nation; they are its banner raisers and economy builders, and those will face these challenges on the ground, and would reach to the equation that ensures the continuation of the development, construction and stability for themselves and their successors."

He added, "The success of our youth is not only a success for the UAE, but it is a success for the young Arabs, and this is what H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai instilled in us."

A number of Emiratis with experiences and achievements spoke at the Conference. Speakers included H.E. Sultan Saqr Al-Suwaidi, Chairman, Culture & Science Symposium, who spoke on a topic "strengthening the national identity" in depth, followed by Dr. Saeed Khalfan Al-Dhaheri, Minister Counsellor for Information Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who touched on the "creativity in the practice of diplomacy and foreign affairs: Examples from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

Mohammed Hamid Al-Marri, Assistant Executive Director for Financial Affairs & Institutional Support, MBRHE, threw light on another specialized and distinctive subject related to "Outsourcing Housing Loans".

In addition, Dhaen Shaheen, Executive Director of Press, DMI and Executive Director & Editor-in-Chief, Al Bayan Newspaper, discussed the "creations of DMI and their significant impact in enhancing the image of Emirati national inside and outside the country, and the importance of supporting national ideas and empowering Emiratis to adopt their ideas and appreciate their creations."

The Conference also had other sessions during which owners of experiences and achievements, including Dr. Omar Jaffar, Chairman of Australian International School, also delivered their addresses.

Dr. Jaffar elaborated about the "latest applications of teaching Arabic using standard-based curriculum and best practice strategies." He was followed by Ms. Huda Amer, Head of Arabic School, Australian International School, who touched on "innovation in the best practices of teaching and learning Arabic: unprecedented applications."

In the end of the Conference, Farid Karmostaji, Director of Development Entrepreneurs, Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, spoke about the "services provided by the Foundation to the Emiratis."

The exclusive and first-of-its-kind UAE Ideas Conference was able to bring together many successful and distinctive experiences which received prominent attention from the attendees who sought mastery and asked for more from the seas of excellence and success, through the experience of their predecessors to this way.

During the Conference, the awards ceremony of the 'Idea of ​​the Year 2012' competition took place, which was held on the sidelines of the Conference. H.E. Sultan Saqr Al-Suwaidi honoured all the winners. The competition was founded to support the trends of excellence, quality and creativity in companies, organisations and individuals from Emirati leaders seeking the best through their quality ideas.

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) won the award for the Best Innovation in Enhancing Arabic Language, in addition to Al-Watan School of the UAQ Educational Zone, which was awarded for the same category.

RTA also acquired the Best Innovation Award in Enhancing National Identity on Social Media Networks.

As for the Best Innovation in Voluntary Work, its award was bestowed to Dubai Municipality for their "Marasena" campaign.

The Directorate General of Human Resources at the Dubai Police HQ won the Best Innovation Award in Empowering National Human Resources.

The Department of Education of the Directorate General of Human Resources at the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police - Ministry of Interior won the Best Innovation Award in Marketing and Representing the UAE Abroad.

The 'Idea of ​​the Year 2012' award was presented to the Dubai Municipality for their "Marasena" campaign.
