1) What is the ratio of men to women that are coming in to have plastic surgery? (or percentage)

In the Middle East 86% women 14% men. In the USA it was 78% women 22% men. Both in the USA and here the men segment is growing at about 20% per year.

2) What are men having done in terms of procedures say the top 3 or 4 procedures?

Number one procedure for men at CosmeSurge is hair transplantation followed by liposuction of the breasts, tummy and love handles and # 3 is nose reshaping.

3) What do you feel are motivators for the men to come and have plastic surgery? (Like get a better job or a raise or look good to his wife or so on.)

A lot of them like to look the best they can be and as young as possible especially if they are married to a younger or prettier wife.

4) Are the factors motivating men any different than the ones motivating women?
Single women are trying to get a good husband and married women are trying to keep the one they have from straying.

Men want to look better so that their only attraction is not only their money.

I always say that to a great extent women's capital is their beauty and men's beauty is their capital !

5) What is most common age men begin to seek plastic surgery?

6-8 year boys with flyaway ears (protruding ears) who get teased in school and 15-16 year old overweight kids with embarrassing large breasts who cannot wear T shirts or get in the swimming pool.

6) Are they easier to satisfy than women?

A recent large survey in the USA revealed that the dissatisfaction rate after plastic surgery in America ranges between 10-20% depending on the center. Our recent survey of our 12400 patients revealed a dissatisfaction rate of 6%. An informed and realistic patient is much easier to satisfy. At CosmeSurge, we try very hard to educate patients about their different options and we assist them in choosing what is best for them. Because of that, we have been in general very successful in both genders.
Women tend to be more emotional and the depression rate is higher because of hormonal reasons. We exclude the unfit patients.

7) How are they overall as patients? Like are they fussy, have low pain threshold or sensitivity to anaesthesia?

Men have much less pain tolerance because they are not used to the pain of the menstrual periods, childbearing and labour. Women tend to argue about the fees more than men do
(They are used to shopping more).

8) What is the percentage of repeat patients for men?
Men only come back to do a second session of hair transplantation to get more density. Women on average come back for two more surgeries (if they start with their liposuction they continue with tummy tuck, breast surgery or nose surgery)
