Abu Dhabi, UAE: As GCC economies are increasingly deploying digital transformation strategies in their public and private sectors, Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has opened applications for regional leaders to take part in the next intake of its Executive Program (MEP). Applications are open from January 24 to February 15.

More than 120 decision makers including CEOs, directors general, ambassadors, and executive vice presidents have participated in the university’s previous three cohorts, with a majority applying from federal government roles, and a quarter of each coming from the local public and private sector. The 12-week, hybrid AI crash course enables  participants to develop a personalized and practical understanding of how to apply AI and machine learning in a contemporary business environment through sessions with world leading experts working today.

About the announcement, MBZUAI President and University Professor, Eric Xing, who teaches one of the program’s modules said, “We launched the MEP in 2021 with the aim of supporting government and industry leaders to learn about the potential of AI and how to best manage and to implement it in order to address real-world challenges and drive forward innovation and positive disruption in their respective sectors. MBZUAI is pleased to offer this unparalleled training opportunity to leaders in the UAE and beyond, and welcome them to take on a life-long learning journey and to join the global AI community.”

MBZUAI will continue to offer at least one subsidized seat each to participants from Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) as well as start-ups to support the development of AI and high tech ecosystem in the country.

Aimed at aligning AI understanding across leaders in government, academia, and the private sector, MEP is delivered by top-faculty from MBZUAI, UC Berkeley, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Oxford University, etc.. These subject matter experts deliver a curriculum including AI, machine learning and the economy; visual cognition and intelligence; lingual cognition and intelligence; robotics; and AI ethics.
