Wireless Solutions Provider Signs Turkish Mobile Operator as First Customer in Million-Dollar Deal to Deliver Antennas for 4G Network Rollout
Dubai - CombaTelecom Systems Holdings Limited ("Comba Telecom" or "the Group", Hong Kong stock code: 2342), a global leading wireless solutions provider, announced the commercial launch of its new range of 4G LTE base station antennas. At the same time, it also revealed it had signed a million dollar agreement with one of Turkey's leading mobile operatorsforthe supply of the new antenna models for the 4G LTE network being rolled out by the operator.This comes on the heels of International Data Corporation (IDC) forecasting investments in LTE networks to push IT spend in Turkey's communications sector up to USD 1.29 billion in 2015 .Meanwhile, GSMA Intelligence forecasts that almost 50% of the Middle East's population will be covered by LTE networks by 2020 .
Compatible with 790-960MHz and 1710-2690MHz frequencies, thenew multi-band antennafeatures 8 ports withan integrated remote control unit (iRCU)- akey enabler for the antenna to have a reduced form factor and lighter weight. The iRCU allows the operator to remotely adjust the tilt of the antenna to optimise the network coverage and minimise the interference in accordance to mobile traffic conditions on timely basis. In addition to accommodating 2G, 3G and 4G bands, these design factors allows for Comba Telecom's antenna to be especially easy to install, thereby facilitating a faster mobile network rollout.

Compared to traditional external RCUs, the iRCU significantly reduces the number of connectors, RF cables and space required - thus allowing for Comba Telecom's antennas to have a smaller footprint and weight without sacrificing quality and performance. We invested considerable R&D effort to bring this solution to the market, and in fact, Comba Telecom is one the very few antenna manufacturers that can offer an 8 port multiband antenna with integrated remote control units."
